EVE-ANNE WILKES
Eve-Anne Wilkes holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in performance and literature from West Virginia University, with her Master of Arts (emphasis in vocal pedagogy) and her Bachelor of Science degrees in music education from The Ohio State University. She was a professor of voice at West Virginia University, Memphis State University, and Otterbein College (Ohio).
Wilkes is a long time member (since the 1970s) of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and is President of their Redwood Empire Chapter serving the North Bay Area. She has studied abroad and toured across three continents, and has had an extensive and diverse performing career including a wide variety of musical genres: opera, oratorio, musical theatre, solo recitals and cabaret.
During her tenure at Napa Valley College, Wilkes taught voice classes, directed College Chorale, and was the musical director for the musical theater productions. She was also administrator of Napa Valley College’s applied music program.
Wilkes is a certified instructor for the SongShine Foundation, and currently enjoys teaching and mentoring Pacific Union College and PCA students. She is also on the board of Music in the Vineyards. She has been teaching for PCA since 2018.
