This nine-week course is intended to strengthen voices hampered by aging and/or neurology disorders. It is designed around the vocal and dramatic arts, used to harness the power of brain, breath, and emotion for the purpose of building voices.
SongShine was developed around the cutting-edge science of neuroplasticity—the human brain’s lifelong ability to reorganize itself and change by creating new or alternative neural pathways. SongShine creates community, camaraderie, and confidence…and it's FUN!!
This class is co-taught by both Eve-Anne Wilkes and Ellen Patterson. Both instructors have advanced music degrees and years of experience in training voices, with specializations in voice pedagogy (Wilkes) and music therapy (Patterson). Both have also coached singer/actors in numerous musical productions on the emotional power of word communication.
