ELLEN PATTERSON

Patterson received her master’s degree in piano performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. A board-certified music therapist, Patterson retired in 2013 after 27 years at the Veterans Home in Yountville; she was subsequently inducted into their Hall of Fame. As an accompanist, she plays for Pacific Union College music department, and freelances all over the Napa Valley.


Patterson has played in musical theater productions and concerts at Napa Valley College, the White Barn, and Spreckles Theater in Rohnert Park. She has been music director for several musicals at Lucky Penny and Sonoma Arts Live; most recently, the Lucky Penny production of The Marvelous Wonderettes. 

As director of God’s House Band (a contemporary Christian music group) at Napa’s First United Methodist Church, Patterson has produced two CDs over the past 15 years. Her own CD, Simply Ellen, is a collection of original compositions and arrangements of Veterans Home members’ original songs/poems.


Patterson teaches piano and voice, enjoying each opportunity to share her passion for music. She has been working with PCA since 2017.
