ALAN U'REN

Drummer Alan U’Ren has been performing in the California Bay Area since 1989 in such venues as Jazz at Pearl’s, The Fillmore, Yoshi’s and The Monterey Jazz Festival. He continues to perform in many styles of music throughout the Bay Area.

 

U'Ren received his Jazz Studies degree from Sonoma State University where he studied with famed drum teacher George Marsh and the director of the jazz program, bassist and composer Mel Graves, where he graduated with honors.

 

After 21 years at Napa’s Redwood Middle School teaching choir, strings and band, U'Ren relocated to American Canyon Middle School in 2022 to continue as director of music.
